What is CCAA Asian Community Policing Experience?

CCAA Asian Community Policing Experience is a collaborative recruiting initiative organized by the Community Crime Awareness Association with participation of the following Police Services:

  • Royal Canadian Mounted Police

  • Ontario Provincial Police  

  • Toronto Police Service

  • York Regional Police 

  • Durham Regional Police

  • Peel Regional Police

It will take place on June 18 - 19, 2011 at Market Village 4390 Steeles Avenue East Markham (www.marketvillage.net) and Taipei Economic & Culture Centre 888 Progress Avenue (www.ocac.gov.tw) Toronto respectively. It will be a 2-day event with mentoring sessions, practical exercises and exposure to specialized Police Units from the above Police Services.

A minimum of 80 men and women interested in exploring a uniform career with the above Police Services will be selected to participate in the 2-day event.

There will also be public exhibition and information sessions for Police Services uniform and civilian jobs. The public exhibition and information sessions will take place at Market Village on Steeles Avenue East in Markham on Saturday June 18, 2011 only.

Deadline for application is May 31, 2011.

All candidates will be informed of their application status by email during the week of of June 6, 2011.
